Olivia Wilde May Make Spider-Woman

Sony Pictures is preparing another film in the Marvel universe. He will introduce a new female character, whose name has not yet been revealed. It is only known that the film will be directed by actress and director Olivia Wilde ("Tron: Legacy", "Race", "The Richard Jewell Affair"), who has already signed an agreement with the studio. About it reports Dedline.

According to the media, we are talking about a movie about Spider-Woman. Olivia herself hinted at this, who on Twitter responded to the news with a spider emoji.

The film can be written by Katie Silberman and produced by Amy Pascal. Rachel O'Connor will be the executive producer of the film.

As for the character himself, it is not yet known who exactly will become Spider-Woman in the MCU. Indeed, in different comics this pseudonym was worn by different heroines. The first was Jessica Drew, although Gwen Stacy from the Earth-65 alternative universe, in which the radioactive spider bit Gwen, and not Peter Parker, also acted in this role.
