1. Buy only fresh flowers
If you do buy a rose, always check to see how they are fresh. This can be done by squeezing the flower at the point where the stem and bud ends begins. If this part of the flower is soft, then rose an old, do not buy it. If solid, the fresh flower.

Water sustains life colors. The longer the flowers remain without water, the less they stand for. Therefore, if you are buying flowers and want to preserve them longer, listen to these three guidelines:
- Ask pack bouquet in individual containers with water.
- Bring a container with water, so that after the purchase immediately placed in her flowers.

To keep the water clean and fresh for longer in the vase, remove all the rotten leaves and petals. Especially carefully smooth out the part of the stem, which will be lowered into the water.
Leaves in water promote the formation of bacteria which are harmful for the flowers. Moreover, when the leaves fall into the water, it becomes cloudy, acquires putrid smell.

Before you put the flowers in a vase, pay attention to the base of the stems. You may notice that some of them are drying. It is necessary to cut off places.
Cut flower of about 3-5 cm. Do it under running water or submerge the stems in a container with water. It is necessary that air bubbles are not occluded vessels plant tissue and do not impede absorption of water flower. Cut the flower must be at an angle of 45 degrees, to increase the area of the suction surface of the flower.
Good idea - a little trim the stem (about 1 cm) every day or every other day. This will allow the colors to stably produce the flow of nutrients and water.
