Los Angeles hosted the 42nd Annie Awards, often referred to as the Animated Oscars. This year, the undisputed leader in the number of awards was the cartoon "Klaus", released by Netflix at the end of last year. He was awarded seven statuettes at once.

"Claus"
This new year the tape was recognized as the best animated film of 2019. She was competed with: "Frozen 2", "How to Train Your Dragon 3", "The Lost Link" and Toy Story 4.

"I lost my body"
The French cartoon I Lost my body or “I lost my body” was named the best independent project. He was also awarded for excellent music and storytelling.
"Frozen 2"
This cartoon was one of the leaders in terms of the number of nominations, but it won only two: for the best special effects and character voice acting (Josh Gad in the form of Olaf the snowman).
BoJack Horseman
BoJack Horseman was voted Best Animated Series. The same award he had previously received from the Film Critics Association.
"Love, Death and Robots"
Anthology "Love, Death and Robots" took the statuettes for the best special effects, music, production design and editing.
Also, within the framework of the Annie Award, the award for the best character animation in a feature film was awarded - it was taken by the blockbuster "Avengers: Endgame". Other contenders were: final season "The game of thrones", Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Alita: Battle Angel.
