Haunting of Hill House Season 2: Release Date, Cast and Story

The first season of the horror series from director Mike Flanagan was released on Netflix in October 2018. The story of a family who lost their mother during the strange events at Hill House was a mixture of classic horror and kinship drama. The audience liked this approach, and the project was highly appreciated. The series, as expected, received a sequel, but it will be very different from what was shown earlier.
How is work on Season 2 going?

The promo promises that the sequel will be released in 2020. Most likely, its appearance should not be expected until autumn.
What Haunting Hill House Season 2 Will Tell You
The series' first season is formally based on the 1959 book The Ghost of the Hill House by Shirley Jackson. But in fact, only a few names and titles remained from the original source, the plot developed in a completely different way.
The second season will be based on another classic scary novel, The Turn of the Screw, written by Henry James in 1898. The plot of the book is presented as a manuscript of a certain woman. She tells how she became a nanny for two young orphans, Miles and Flora, who lived on the estate with their wealthy uncle.
Soon, the girl begins to see a strange couple of people. It turns out that these are the ghosts of the suddenly deceased governess, who used to work at the estate, and the servant who was her lover. And the behavior of ghosts is somehow related to the weirdness of children.
This book has been screened more than a dozen times. The film “Innocent"1961, the prequel" Aliens of the Night "with Marlon Brando and many others.
Interestingly, The Turning will premiere in January 2020 with Mackenzie Davis and Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard, based on the same book. The film will be released in Russia in April under the name Nanny.

Who will play in Haunting Hill House Season 2
When the writers began announcing the cast of the new season, it turned out that the anthology was probably intended to be an analogue "American Horror Story». In the sequel, many of the actors who have already played in the series will return. But they will play completely new roles. Victoria Pedretti, who played Nell, will now appear as a governess named Dani.
Oliver Jackson-Cohen, who plays the drug addict Luke, will return as some charming guy Peter.
Also, Kate Siegel, who played in the first season of Theo, is able to perceive other people's thoughts when touched. Henry Thomas, who appeared earlier in flashbacks as the young father of the Hugh Crane family, will also return.

From the newcomers to the project, T'Nia Miller ("The Years") will appear - she got an unnamed lead role. Rahul Koli also joined the roster (“I am a zombie») And aspiring actress Amelia Yves. The children will be played by young Benjamin Ainsworth and Emily Smith.
