10 mistakes and bloopers in popular films
Cinema / / December 29, 2020
Even after watching any films many times, you may not see the mistakes that the writers or directors made. This can be the use of incorrect dates, inaccurate costumes or items from the future that simply cannot be in the film. Such mistakes are found in a wide variety of pictures. Here are 10 striking examples.
Forrest Gump (1994)
In Forrest Gump, the protagonist said that his beloved passed away on Saturday morning, but the date on the tombstone was March 22, 1982. If you look at this day on the calendar, you will see that it was Monday.
Titanic (1997)
In Titanic, Jack told Rose that he had been to Lake Wissota, Wisconsin. However, this trip would never have been possible, because the lake was formed in 1917 during the construction of a power plant on the Chippewa River. The Titanic sank in 1912 - 5 years before the appearance of Wissota.
Wild Wild West (1999)
Will Smith's character in The Wild Wild West wears a thin black tie most of the time. Of course, anything is possible in a science fiction film, but in fact, such accessories only gained popularity in the 1950s, and the film is set in 1869.
Jurassic Park (1993)
At Jurassic Park, scientists were able to access dinosaur DNA through a mosquito stuck in amber. In real life, this is absolutely impossible - DNA cannot be stored in amber for that long. In addition, the insect inside is more like a long-legged mosquito that does not drink blood - it feeds on nectar.
Jurassic World (2015)
In the newer Jurassic World, there is also a funny detail associated, of course, with dinosaurs. We're talking about velociraptors tamed by Chris Pratt's hero. In the film, these dinosaurs are quite large, as tall as a person. However, in reality, it was proved that these creatures were 40-70 cm tall and, due to their plumage, looked more like birds.
"Avengers: Endgame" (2019)
In one of the episodes of the final battle of the film "Avengers: Endgame" Doctor Strange suddenly has a magic amulet Eye of Agamotto. However, this artifact was destroyed by Thanos in the previous film, taking the Time Stone inside. Judging by the fact that Strange does not have this amulet in other scenes, it is probably just a blooper. Well, or the magician conjured him up - he's a magician.
Back to the Future (1985)
In one of the most famous scenes "Back to the Future", where Marty McFly plays the guitar masterly, a mistake also crept in. In particular, this is the guitar itself - Gibson ES-345, which was released only 3 years after the events in the film. The action of the picture takes place in 1955, and the instrument was released only in 1958.
Django Unchained (2012)
In several episodes of the movie "Django Unchained", Jamie Foxx's character wears sunglasses that sharply emphasize his image. However, in the United States, this accessory began to be sold only in 1929, while the action of the picture takes place in 1858. Although who knows from whom Django could get such an exclusive.
Dallas Buyers Club (2013)
The Dallas Buyers Club drama is based on true events that took place in 1985. In one of the scenes, behind the protagonist, there is a poster depicting a Lamborghini Aventador. This model was presented only in 2011.
The Green Mile (1999)
The action of the film "The Green Mile" is set in 1935 in Louisiana, where in one of the prisons the condemned are executed in the electric chair. There is no historical accuracy in the very fact of using the chair, since in this state of the United States it began to be used only 6 years later, in 1941.
