Fried champignons with onions can be an appetizer or a separate dish. Wine and aromatic herbs transform this simple combination into a culinary masterpiece.
In a skillet, heat the oil, add the mushrooms and shake the pan until they are evenly distributed over the surface. Fry the mushrooms over high heat for about a minute, then shake the pan again to turn them over.
Add salt, pepper, chopped onion and stir quickly. After 30 seconds, pour in the wine, add the garlic and a teaspoon of thyme. Cook until liquid evaporates.
Serve the mushrooms sprinkled with leftover thyme, sour cream and toast, or to complement your main course.
