"In contact with" Launches the function of translating voice messages into text messages. Thanks to it, users no longer have to listen to messages - they can be read. This innovation is implemented on the basis of a neural network that is capable of recognizing even Russian slang.

To translate an audio message into text, the user only needs to press one button. The function works in the VK mobile application and is already available for some users. Everyone will have it in the coming week.

It is possible to recognize both received and sent voice messages up to 30 seconds long - this is quite enough to translate short answers. In addition, the new function will help you quickly return to the necessary information in the correspondence: voice messages can be found using a text search.

In the future, the recognition function should become available from a computer, and it will be possible to decrypt both longer and forwarded messages.
