Due to the pandemic coronavirus cinemas in many countries are completely closed, so absolutely all premieres are now being postponed to other dates. The new roadmaps show when the film industry expects to get back on track. So, if you focus on Sony, then you should wait at least until the fall.
Here are the new Sony movie premiere dates:
- Peter Rabbit 2: January 15, 2021 (planned for March 27, 2020);
- "Morbius": March 19, 2021 (planned for July 31, 2020);
- Ghostbusters: Heirs: March 5, 2021 (planned for July 10, 2020);
- "Fatherhood": October 23, 2020 (planned for January 15, 2021);
- Uncharted: Drake's Luck: October 8, 2021 (planned for March 5, 2021).
"Greyhound" with Tom Hanks has also been postponed, but no new date has been announced yet. The scheduled release was to take place on June 12, 2020. An unknown picture, shot in conjunction with Marvel, was also transferred. It was planned for October 8, 2021.
By data Variety, cinemas will not start opening until mid-summer, but high-profile movie premieres with a big budget will only start coming out towards the end of 2020.
Recall that previously there were moved "Fast and Furious 9", "Mulan", "Quiet Place-2", "No time to die" and "Black Widow".
