Ingredients
- Yeast-free puff pastry 250-300 g
- Onions 1½ pieces
- Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. the spoon
- Dried thyme 1 pinch
- Salt 1 pinch
- Pears 1-2 pieces
- Feta 100 g
- Sugar 1 tsp the spoon
- Balsamic glaze to taste
Cooking method
Defrost the dough and cut the onion yourself into half rings of equal thickness.
-
Heat oil in a saucepan. Throw in onions and fry over medium heat.
-
When the onions are translucent, season with a pinch of salt and thyme and reduce heat.
To speed up the caramelization, the onion can be sprinkled with sugar.
-
Now you need to closely monitor the half rings and mix them periodically. Caramelization will take 15-20 minutes.
If the onion starts to stick to the bottom of the dish, add a little water, no more than a tablespoon.
-
When the onions are brown and sticky, remove the saucepan from the heat.
Roll out the thawed dough into a rectangle about 15 × 25 centimeters in size.
-
Step back a couple of centimeters from the edge and make cuts along the entire contour without cutting through the dough.
To prevent the middle from swelling when baking, pierce it with a fork in several places.
-
To make the tart crisp, the base must first be baked separately. Seven minutes at 200 degrees will be sufficient.
Press lightly on the piece removed from the oven in the center to lower the risen dough.
-
Spread the caramelized onions over the surface. Then arrange the thin pear slices.
Send everything to bake at 200 degrees for another 12-15 minutes.
-
Complement the finished tart with crumbled feta or other salted or spicy cheese, and, if desired, pour balsamic glaze before serving.
