After the release of the first season of The Witcher from Netflix, Dandelion's song "Pay the Witcher with a minted coin" instantly became a hit. She was disassembled into memes, and re-chanted many times. In the recent podcast Behind The Scenes Sonya Belousova and Giona Austinelli, composers of the series, talked about how much such a powerful fan reaction to the song means to them.
Austinelli commented: “This is amazing. So glad to see that the audience is having fun thanks to this song - that was our idea. We wanted to put as much fun and excitement as possible into this song, and we hoped that the fans could feel it and pick it up. "
Belousova said that she admires the number of covers in different genres. When asked to select their favorite alternative performances, composers were able to agree on two variants: the cat opera "You will pay the cat with boiled shrimp" and the version from the Omsk folk choir, about which we already told.
Of course, it is not the cat who sings here, but the professional opera singer Alexei Kosarev. Well, you probably already saw the version from Omsk.
You can find many other interesting performances on YouTube. For example, here is one of the recent covers, recorded and edited entirely on the iPhone 11 Pro Max:

If folk rock attracts you more, then there is a cover for you:
