Pavel Durov recalled the danger of WhatsApp

Pavel Durov in his blog again remindedthat it is extremely dangerous to use WhatsApp messenger. Another confirmation of this was the recent breaking into smartphone of the richest man on the planet - Amazon owner Jeff Bezos. Access to his personal photos and messages was obtained precisely through the backdoor of the messenger, about which Pavel has already repeatedly spoke.
Durov believes that the attack came from a foreign government, and it is likely that, in addition to Bezos, many other business and government leaders are now at gunpoint. Currently, the United Nations recommends that its officials remove WhatsApp from their gadgets, and Donald Trump's loved ones are advised to change their phones altogether.
According to the founder of Telegram, in such a serious situation, Facebook / WhatsApp should have admitted their guilt and at least promised to eliminate all holes in the applications. Instead, however, they shifted the blame to Apple, claiming that the jailbreak was through iOS, not their messenger.
This cannot be true, if only for the reason that the backdoor in WhatsApp is present not only on iOS, but also on Android devices and even on Windows Phone. In other words, the installation of this messenger makes any mobile gadget unsafe. No other iOS app has such a backdoor.
In conclusion, Durov, of course, recalled that there could be no such problems with Telegram, since it is simply impossible to get access to user data through this messenger. That is why he prohibited in a number of countries around the world, including Russia.
