Eugene Kobzev

What do you do in your work?
I am a co-founder of the service "Button». We give entrepreneurs a team of accountants, lawyers and business assistant, as well as an application that helps you to interact with them. If you describe a "button", without using any Russian words, get "online back office for the SMB".

In 2010, I was a team-leader "Elbe». It so happened that no one is better than me did not fit the role of a project manager. At first I did not like: I liked the program and I was in good shape. It was breaking from the appearance of an unusual responsibility. I'm not an introvert, but to write the code - is one thing and protect the budget dedicated to the promotion and communicate with partners - is quite another. Two months went immersed in itself, a lot of silence, then started to turn... and liked it. :)
Last time writing code for two and a half years ago, when the "button" was not a single developer. Angular picks open the client library, now the guys throw it. :)
What is your occupation?
He graduated from the school of mathematics in Nizhny Tagil and matmeh Ural University, specialty "Information systems in economy". In fact, the entire professional life is this doing. First, there was more programming now more economy.
Education and University of the ecosystem (dormitory, student get-together) is completely defined my professional and human destiny. To the university, I do not know how to program. I learned.
On the fourth year (in 1999) I started to work, so the knowledge gained at the university lived and deepened. His first job I got a chance: just walked into the office of a neighbor in the dorm. My wife and I met because he worked administrator and I was summoned to a birthday night in the office to repair the mail server. Future wife worked in customer service on the night shift. She brought me coffee, to somehow cheer, and now we have been together for 13 years. The "Elbe" I called my friend at the university.
I think that higher education is a democracy: it has many shortcomings, but nothing better has not yet been invented. At the same time, if I was not engaged in programming and technology further and started to work on the fourth year, at the time of graduation, I would not be ready for the real work. By the way, I have a diploma of red, the work does not interfere with a good pass examinations. :)
Now blossom and ears projects like Khan Academy and Coursera, but I do not consider them an alternative to academic education - this is a good opportunity for further self-education. You do not understand people who receive second and third higher. The formal aspect of the process requires too much time; in my opinion, one is enough.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
I'm stubborn optimist. As a child come into navigation section. I was ten years old, and the guys there with five engaged. They overtook me greatly. But after a year of employment coach took me to the sport class - precisely because of the character, not the results. A year later I started to win the competition.
I know how to be patient and confident enough. When you start a project, forums, social networks, in your same company is a lot of "experts on all issues", who want to destroy your faith in success. This, unfortunately, characteristic of our national culture.
I say what I think, quite right. Probably, it is possible and in the negative record. More of the downsides: little tolerance for stupidity and loss of time. Some talks I had better not walk on the face all at once we'll see. :) I do not know how to build relationships with those who do not like me on a human level, or who do not like me.
I'm almost always happy, I'm just such a person. :)
How does your workplace?
I'm a big fan of open space and believe that the advantages of such an organization office outweigh the cons.
I do not have permanent jobs - sit in different places of our open space. I do not have a computer. (In fact, at home and in the office have little old MacBook Air, but I very rarely open.)
All our planning and synchronization tasks occur through stickers and stand-up meetings. There is communication via Slack, Viber, «Bitriks24», iMessage-chats and your email. For them, I use the iPhone 5.
The house is iPad mini, to surf the Internet and watch movies. In the office, there is no time to do it, but sometimes in Facebook Will you come (to do this again, iPhone enough).
I think computers are needed for developers, designers, engineers, accountants, lawyers. The average person enough to iPhone and iPad.

I would not call it a bag - a very small bag. :) There are only a purse and keys. Laptop and iPad with no wear, so I do not need big.

How do you organize your time?
A friend of mine suggested, with which I agree one hundred percent, "the apologists of time management - charlatans, parasitizing on the fear of people that do not have time."
They say that in time everything is possible, and if you do not have time, it is necessary to organize efficient queue processing to take into account all of its activity in the calendar and follow the schedule. I think it's a dead end road.
Much more promising decide that some things should not be done in principle, so as not to lose focus. For example, many times I have seen how people live in the mail, most of the day responding to emails. It has always been ineffective. It is not necessary to write hundreds of letters, adding all new participants in the dialogue, when it is possible to phone or meet and solve everything in 15 minutes.
It is also important the correct delegation of authority. It's when you stop to do something himself and inspiring person to work wonders on a new site for it. There has to work one rule: trust completely, do not go into operational activities. If you can not trust what the other person needs, or this responsibility is beyond the power of any of the available people, and then it should be decomposed. But to go into someone else's work - it is always a mistake.
What's your daily routine?
I always thought that I was a night owl, while the daughter did not go to kindergarten. :) When you have no option not to get up early in the morning, in the evening you fall asleep and wake up much earlier night's sleep and awake.
During the school year, I would get up at 6:30 am, was driving my daughter to school at eight, then went to the gym, then in office. Now the holidays, and I sleep up to eight, go to the gym less frequently and in the evening. On special morning rituals no, I'm so after getting up quite leisurely. :)
I try to return home at seven or eight in the evening. Before going to sleep always read a book on your iPad. Now re-read "The Island of Crimea" Aksenov.
How to pass the time in traffic jams?
I try to go home on foot. It takes 40 minutes. Usually just I go, even not listen to music.
If the food in the car, I call my mother on the speakerphone. I try every day to talk to her. Sorry, it did not always work.
At the airport, I read or watch a movie. I listen to music only in the car through the "Yandex. Music. "
What's your hobby?
Basketball, cross-country and downhill skiing. This is what I do every week, since childhood.
More yachting. But it is two or three times a year for a week. Always considered yachting something oligarchic, it turned out that everything is not so. All inclusive in Turkey is much more luxurious, and costs the same.
