What do you do in your work?

I am the chief editor of the Internet portal "Gramota.ru".

Our portal was created 16 years ago as dictionaries and reference base for journalists. The idea was that they checked, how to write and pronounce words, and allow fewer errors.

But it turned out that the resources devoted to the Russian language, we need everyone - pupils, students, teachers, editors, proofreaders, office workers; anyone who wants to speak and write correctly. Today the "Diploma" used daily by about 80 000 people.

My job is to publish news and links to interesting articles, to answer questions on the Russian language and control the responses of other employees. Also, I am of the page "Gramoty.ru" in social networks, to communicate with users.

I get on a daily basis can be heard on two radio stations: "Radio 7 on seven hills" and "Radio Kultura". On the ground we have a joint heading "speak properly" with the leading morning show Ruben Hakobyan and Eve Korsakov. On "Radio Kultura", Elena Arutyunova are conducting the daily program "Wordplay." Another important part of my work, or rather life - participation in the work of the Expert Council of the project "Total dictation". I fell in love with this project immediately, when in February 2015 was in Novosibirsk and met with Olga Rebkovets and all staff.

Of course, I try not to miss festivals and conferences on Russian language. What is your occupation?

I graduated from the State Academy of Slavic Culture in 2004, and in 2008 he defended his thesis at the Institute of Russian Language named after V. IN. Vinogradov RAS. But in the school my two favorite subjects were Russian language and history. History, because I've always had a good memory for dates and years of government, and Russian language, because I knew: if the dictation on the Russian language will be five. I have what is called the innate literacy.

No one is born with the ability to write and speak correctly. It is not possible without knowing the rules, right to place punctuation.

In my field of academic education, of course, necessary. Unable to yourself, do not get higher linguistic education, to understand how the complex mechanism such as language, it lives and develops according to what laws.

Although, at first glance, nothing complicated: to learn all the rules and act as an expert. How do you assess the current level of literacy of people?
