Macos / / December 25, 2019
The new macOS when the night mode in enabled applications such as an interface design changes to dark. In some programs, it looks good in the other - not very.
Standard features do not allow you to add a separate application as an exception, but it still can be implemented using a free utility LightsOff.
After installing its icon appears in the menu bar, from which you can quickly switch between the light and dark modes interface without the need to dig into the settings. If desired, you can also be configured to switch the schedule, tick Scheduled options.
To add applications to the exceptions used App Specific mode. After his inclusion in the menu appear more two additional buttons with which you can assign exceptions for dark and light mode by placing a checkmark in the application from the list.
For example, if you want to interface with the dark "almost" mode remained light, click Dark and then select the application in the list. Or, let's say you need to get in a light mode in the "Terminal" was a dark appearance. Then, press the Light button and put a check mark next to the name application.
The specifics of LightsOff is that, not only the design of the active window, but the menu bar and the Dock. To some extent this can be considered a minus, but here everything depends on the system constraints. After all, in fact, the application is often simply switch to night mode and back, depending on the selected settings.
LightsOff is free, and you can download the utility at the developer's website.
