Vladimir, why did you become a programmer?

I have always been interested in IT-profession. Began with technical support in one of the largest hosting companies, there is a system administrator, and then took part in implementation of complex software systems in one of the Russian banks that participated in the testing of multifunctional system for large-scale cell operator. And all these problems will sooner or later have led me to the need for self-development code. So I decided to become a full-fledged programmer.

Why did you choose Java?

Firstly, because the Java - a cross-platform language. Secondly, it is important to note a reliable security system, because the program is fully controlled by the virtual machine. These factors have made Java the dominant language for the development of integrated enterprise systems, which means that java-programmer always is and will be high-paying job.

Post your resume on hh.ru, I once again realized that I made a mistake in choosing a profession. It received a lot of interesting offers. And so I saw the title Luxoft in the list of companies-employers who watched my resume. At that time I had heard about this company. Somehow, choosing Java tutorial, I came across a wonderful book Bruce Eckel «Java philosophy." With the release of the 4th edition of this book Luxoft company participated in Russia.

How was the interview?

The interview took place in several stages. Without going into details, I should mention that all the interviewers were very polite and impressions were good. At the first position, though, I at that time did not have enough knowledge (and, if successful, would have left me in Germany work), but I was offered another option, and as a result I got a java developer'om Moscow office company.

What do you like and what draws in the works?

Like the difficulty and complexity of the problems I have solved. I like the working atmosphere in the team. We work in small teams, this approach stimulates the work in full force, and helps to develop the professionalism of colleagues. Like to see the results of their work. By the nature of the activities often have to deal with foreign customers to their questions and problems. Among many strong players in the evenings I often watch the local poker club, and on our bike parked in a row are stories.

And what do you do in your spare time?

After work I usually go to the gym, partially paid by the company. On Tuesdays I play football - the company rents sports halls for football, volleyball and basketball.

In the list of my hobbies priority takes art photography.
Recently, I finally realized his dream and bought Canon EOS 5D Mark II - now my fototvorchestvo limited only by my imagination.
