Even successful as a whole interview can ruin a ridiculous question. If you really want to make a good impression and get a job, avoid these phrases.
My Richard (Richard Moy)
The author in The Muse and former recruiter.
1. How often do your employees with a rest?
Go to a bar after work with colleagues - a natural desire. And indeed, it is with them, you spend more time than even with friends and family. However, the employer may not be able to understand you and decide that you are more concerned with vacation than work.
Instead of this. It should rephrase the question. For example, say: "I would like to learn more about the company's culture." Such wording often leads to amusing stories about the traditions of the team and the weekly gatherings. In addition, the caller will see in you not only a potential employee, but also a team member, and it is more advantageous.
2. I got the job?
In most cases, companies have to think, to take you to work or not. You must understand this, so that your questions will sound silly. In the end, right after the interview the recruiter may find you desirable candidate and refuse. But if he later decides that you are coming, you are unlikely to will ask you to work for the company. So be patient.
Instead of this. It is better to think about what can be even more to win the interlocutor, and how to make him understand that you are ideal for this position. And if you do not wait to see you take it or not, you just need to gently ask, when you can wait for a response.
3. If the interview has failed, it is possible to respond to a different position of the company?
Recruiters often keep summary even those candidates who did not come, and, if necessary, can write to them later. But please do not put off your résumé and far to call if there was another free place, it will look at least challenging. More than once, I'm after some time again appealed to the candidates who have refused, but not to those who had been requested.
Instead of this. Pleasant impression can leave a short phrase that you value a company and would like to someday be sure to work in it. Tell that an invitation to the interview was a pleasant surprise, because you're a longtime fan of the company.
