At the time of its appearance represented the Facebook environment for family and companionship. However, now this social network and wants to get to our jobs. Today within the Facebook launched a new service for the working groups, called Workplace.
The main purpose is to Workplace ordering and simplification of communication within the company. The service claims to be a universal tool for the role of communication, file sharing and customer feedback. The team tested the Workplace Facebook developer for two years, during which time the service has been tested in more than 1000 companies worldwide.
The new service looks very similar to a normal Facebook, which, incidentally, is not surprising. The main difference lies in the fact that all messages, responses and updates are only available within the working group. And it works for teams of any size, from a garage start-up to multinational corporations.
As in the usual social network, you can post new messages, communicate in private or group chat, create groups, share files. Thanks to Facebook already spent technologies in the Workplace will be available video conferencing, which can be used for meetings or presentations.
Besides the already familiar to us on the social network features, Workplace, there are also some specific features that are useful for the organization of the team. It concerns the separation mechanism of the rights of participants, embedded system analysts, handy tools to work together on projects.
Cost of Workplace using the service is $ 3 per month for each registered participant, provided that the number of employees does not exceed 1 000 people. If the number is from 1 000 to 10 000 people, the price of one account falls to $ 2 per month. More larger organizations will pay $ 1 for each employee. There is also a free 3-month period to test Workplace opportunities.
Very interesting, if I can use Facebook not only to see the seals, but also for productive work. What do you think?
