Abbreviated GTD: the three main rules
Productivity / / December 23, 2019
Today I would like to talk about the approach to the organization of its work, which is named by its creator David Pearce (David Pierce) «Short GTD». This method is interested me for its simplicity and, as a consequence, lower the cost of its maintenance.
The idea came to David in the head due to the fact that although the GTD and is able to organize all, it requires a lot of time and energy to sustain itself. I think everyone understands this, and David came to the three rules that I am pleased and I will describe below.
Mind calm water
Record everything. This is the first step of the GTD, but any other system, I confess, too. In order not to overload the brain, which is still unable to remember more than seven things at once, skidding all that comes to mind in which you trust. It is important. David uses Evernote (which I also love), but you can use an ordinary notebook, PDA, or any program on your computer.
Do not trust either the brain or memory - they fail, and you already know it. Record and you will win.
delay
"Postponement" - the action in the GTD, which encourages you to not forget about the case, to postpone it. And David finds it very useful, and most of the time does not immediately do anything other than absolutely necessary. If the world will not disappear if you do not do this thing right away - it may be postponed, without blaming yourself. Many of the things that we do, only seem useful, and actually serve only the goals to take us and give us a sense of purpose.
Overview
Analyze done and not done - it is important for anyone who wants to do more. Browse all regularly. Who is doing it every day, and someone enough and once a week. Check the calendar, what's waiting for you? Look at all your "Inbox" folder, including a SMSkami and voicemail on the mobile phone. Look at the list - what you have time in the near future?
Take a look at the period since the last review of your - that you have taken away most of the time and that prevented you succeed? What should be remembered, and from what - to abandon?
but begins everything - with recordings. Record everythingany of well-knownyou and for us ways. Share your ideas on this matter, as you are driving record?
