4 ways to put the correct deadline and meet deadlines

1. Make the project more urgent for yourself
Any task, if you do not consider it urgent, it is easy to postpone. Indeed, if before the end of you still a whole month, you can not hurry up and do something more enjoyable. However, this approach usually proves disastrous: Time flies quickly, and it threatens a sleepless night before the delivery of the project.
The advice is simple: move the deadline in your personal work schedule to an earlier date.
Instead of giving yourself to project a month, take it a week. Even if you do not meet in seven days, you will have time to refine, improve important details that usually pop up at the last moment.
2. Set your personal life
We are all different. Certainly during brainstorming and discussions of the project you have heard colleagues propose a variety of solutions to problems. Relying on their own skills, experience and preferences, you will be able to create for themselves the best execution plan for the project, without looking at the others.
A well-known business coach Tate Carson (Carson Tate) divides people into four categories of productivity:
- organizers - implement projects using the involved staff;
- constellation facilitators priorities - focusing on the main idea;
- visualizers - never lose sight of what is happening;
- planners - are able to clean up even the little things.
Instead of once again say, "I must do this before a certain date," just completely focus on the task at hand. You can dive into the project right from the head or its parts to perform parallel with other tasks. Most importantly, determine what is best for you.
3. Put achievable goal
We all want to get the job done better and faster. But sometimes it is difficult to take the first step to cope with the feeling that you have to move a mountain. There are doubts: whether it is necessary to proceed, if the task is difficult, and perhaps impossible?
Try to break the project into several small, but easily achievable steps. Imagine that you have to work 10-minute segments. You have to determine what you could do in the meantime. Perhaps will come up with a design, make two or three slides, adjust text written previously?
This method is good when you are hesitant to get started, and thus pushes farther the project deadline. Start with a small 10-minute business. If you like to divide the task into time segments, stick to this strategy until the end.
4. Determine term meaningful
What happens if you frustrate deadline? You say to yourself that this is not so important, or will experience?
If you do not feel responsible for the fact that did not meet the deadline, there is no incentive to maintain it for you. I need motivation.
Tell your boss that you have to submit a report on Monday, and not just mark it in your diary. Notify colleague that finish their part of the project until the end of the day. External control will allow you to come and perform the scheduled time. You do not want to be a liar?
Deadline - a good way to improve performance. But it should not extend to self-loathing for constantly breaks down time.
Try to implement these four tips. Perhaps you will learn everything in time, enjoy the work and in time to do more of its volume over the same period.
