Why do I continue to use Google Calendar
Productivity Web Services / / December 23, 2019
With all the abundance of online calendars and planners, I really only two solutions: Google Calendar and Remember The Milk. The first - for the tasks of "this day", by the time the second - for the global planning and setting priorities for their implementation. Today I want to consecrate several reasons for my attachment to Google Calendar. Consider the application of this service as an online service, the mobile version, the remote calendar in the iCal export, and use the paper version :)
1. online service
Very reliable service works, which to my joy, tied to the Google Account. Works quickly, and nothing in this no different from that of the Outlook, and which is worth more and do terribly clumsy. Try using the Google Calendar to create events with the involvement of other actors - here it works at a very high level. I will say that I like the implementation of Google's much better than useless braking Microsoft Exchange Server + Outlook, which I have to use at work.
The online community is looking forward to the implementation of Google Gears for offline work with Google Calendar.
2. mobile version
Has Google Calendar and a mobile version, which appears to your eyes when coming from mobile or PDA at http://google.com/calendar. Here you can from any point of the earth to access your calendar data. Flow of traffic on such a view is very low, which can not but rejoice.
3. iCal export
Most modern "calendar" program supports the import of remote calendar data in iCal format. Of them Apple iCal, mozilla Sundird, Outlook 2007 and etc. The solution for those who are accustomed to a single interface, does not want to be retrained, and wants to draw "strength" in Google Calendar.
4. Printed version
You will be surprised, but Google Calendar is excellent "Export" on the paper. With color and font settings - highly recommend!
