New Google Calendar for iOS - what have been waiting for
Ios / / December 22, 2019
A few days ago, Google released the Google Calendar app for iOS. Appendix performed by all the canons of Android 5.0, but for people who actively use the calendar in my life, will be a very good choice. We have prepared an overview of the application.
The following year, Google Calendar will celebrate its tenth anniversary. It is obvious that during this time the service has changed very much. The new application as a whole received only change the interface and several new features.
IOS version has all the features available to users of Android. This complete application with access to all online calendars, sync with the web version and support for Microsoft Exchange and iOS third-party calendars.
The company itself is appropriate description of the new application in a few sentences. Google emphasized such features:
- Interactive tips. For example, when you add users to a calendar event, the names of the options will be offered automatically.
- Multiple view modes. For days and weeks.
- Convenient schedule. That version of Google means convenient and inconvenient schedule, I did not understand.
- A single place for all your calendars.
Nothing extraordinary, but all the necessary features in place. All calendars actually displayed in a single tape, and if a lot of events, it can be confusing.
What we liked most - is the ability to connect to other Google services calendar. For example, if stored in your Gmail e-tickets, the Calendar automatically finds the date of departure and arrival, and add an event to the calendar.
Chrome will allow connection to open links in the browser, and Google Docs - work with documents. The complete list includes Google+, Hangouts and YouTube.
I do not like the fact that the interface of the application is made not for iOS, Android and style. The same problem as with the Google Music. Some elements seem illogical; it is clear that they are optimized for the concept of Android, but not for Apple's smartphone. By that still gets used, but the sediment remained.
Google Calendar Viewing, of course, is free and is the perfect calendar for those who are tied to the Google ecosystem. If all of the Google products you use YouTube only, I would have thought about whether or not to download a new calendar. If you're having fun on Maps, Gmail and Hangouts, the application necessary for installation. But why do you then use the iPhone?
