A few years ago, in the pages already MakRadara appeared one of the best clients to access IRC networks called Colloquy. And today I would like to tell readers about his remarkable mobile version for the iPhone.
The application's main window is divided only into two tabs. The first of them is responsible for connecting to IRC-server (Connection), which are displayed in a neat list. By means of two buttons the user can add a new connection, or manage existing - delete and sort. Already at the time of adding a server, you can select not only a variety of parameters such as a nickname or your own coding, but, also add a list of rooms (Join Rooms), to which the client will connect automatically, and even include Push-notifications.
On the second mortgage are displayed all the rooms, to which the user is connected. They are ordered by server name and differ icons, allowing quick selection of a service channel among user. In each row put the name of the room, a few recent posts with nicknames of "speaking" users, as well as the total number of unread messages.
Message window quite similar to the desktop version of the same element of the application to the amendment to some features of the mobile interface.
With the help of a special button, the user can view a list of users and their details, and start private chat with one of them.
Among the unique features of the application can be identified as follows:
- full iOS 4 support;
- built-in browser and teams to quickly search Google, Wiki and the Amazon;
- highlighting the selected word or nickname;
- support for common commands IRC-servers;
- two display modes - portrait and landscape.
