Life is not fair, and you need to learn to live with it
A Life / / December 19, 2019
If you do not win, then life will always seem unfair. But life - it's a game, and there are rules. They are complex, and so most of us do not want to teach them.
But you can try.
Rule number 1. Life - a competition
Business, you are working on? Someone tries to break up. The work that you like? Someone wants to replace you by a computer program. Beautiful girl, high-paying job, the Nobel Prize, which do you want? They want someone else.
We are constantly competing, but we prefer not to notice this. Most of the advances only in significantly compared to other. You swam a little more kilometers, got more likes or sing a little better than average. Great job!
We do not want to consider himself a mediocrity, so always hear the phrase:
"Share 100%"
or
"Your only obstacle - is yourself"
The strangest of these statements is that they are designed to make you stronger. But they are deceiving you. Your main obstacle is not you, and seven billion other people.
We try to look good, to get the job, carefully preparing for the interview and try to show their best side. And it all depends on whether you will be able to beat the other or not. And if you squeeze out of yourself all you can.
Rule number 2. About you are judged by your actions, not thoughts
Society judges people by what they do for others. You can save a child from a burning house, to remove a tumor or to make a hundred people laugh? Society will have to appreciate.
We judge ourselves by our thoughts.
I am ambitious,
I am a good person,
I am better than him.
So do you see yourself, but others see otherwise.
Good intentions are not valued in this world, your inner sense of dignity and morality are not interesting. Another important only that, what you can do for them.
We think that society rewards those who do good work as much as possible. It looks like this:
In fact, the reward depends on the number of people to whom you are affected:
Write a brilliant book that no one read - you are a nobody. Write "Harry Potter" and the world will know you by. Save someone's life - you are almost an unknown hero of his town; find a cure cancer - you go down in history as one of the greatest men.
The same rule applies to any profession, even the most unusual. Undress in front of one person, and laugh at you; undress in front of 50 million people, and maybe you will become Kim Kardashian.
You can hate it, can not agree. But nobody cared. You will be judged by their actions, not by himself. If you do not accept it, the world will not accept you.
Rule number 3. Our honesty model selfish
People like it when everything is fair. So we created the referee in sport games and the judges in the courts: each of us has a sense of right and wrong, and we think that others are no different. Our parents say so. Our teachers say the same.
Be a good boy and get candy.
Unfortunately no. You studied hard but failed the exam. You have worked more than others, but did not get promotion. You loved her, but she did not answer your calls.
The problem is not that the world is unfair. The problem is that your model of justice is broken.
Take a look at the person who you like, but who does not like you. This is the man. With decades of experience, different from yours. This person, who communicates with hundreds of thousands of people each year.
Now consider this: What are the chances that this man, too, you will choose from the hundreds of others? And most importantly, why? Because you exist? Because you are special? Because you feel something for him? It is important for you, but not for him.
This may also include our dislike of bosses, politicians, parents. They thought wrong. And stupid! After all, they are not like me. They have to agree with me, because I'm an expert in everything!
There are good and bad people. There are good and bad politicians. But many of them are not as bad as you think. And they have other thoughts, other than getting your own pockets and oppression you. Some of them are struggling through many circumstances that you do not know.
Why is life unfair
Can you imagine what would happen if life was fair for all? If someone you like, then you need to please him in response. Relationship I would end with both partners, and the rain dripped simultaneous death would only bad people.
Most of us are so fixated on the idea of how the world should work, he did not see how it actually works.
But you have to face the reality, because the perception that the world is still valid - it is the key to unlocking all of your potential.
