No excuses: "My motivation - it is my duty" - an interview with Nastya Vinogradova
A Life Inspiration / / December 19, 2019
Special project "No excuses" continues to motivate you to live more fully and richly. To do this, we introduce you to people with disabilities who do not seek no excusesAnd set goals and reach them.
This time we had a talk with clever and beautiful - Nastya Vinogradova. Nastya - disability-model, event-manager and a very creative person.
- Hi, Nastya! Thank you for taking time for this interview. To begin, tell us a little about your childhood where you were born, I lived with someone?
- Hi, Nastya! Childhood, in my opinion - the most interesting time to each person. It was then laid the foundation of personality.
My personality began to emerge in the city of Penza, 600 km from Moscow. I was born in a large family, but brought my mother and grandmother, my father died shortly before my birth.
- And what do you dream to become in childhood?
- Dancer! This idea has crept into my head at a very early age, somewhere in the 3 years I diligently "rehearsed", with tables and chairs acted as a ballet machine. The dream of a ballet for a long time "sitting" in me. Just then I did not understand that then I will not go. But in 11-12 years, began deteriorating health.
- What were they called?
- congenital diseases. I have a rare and poorly understood disease. It occurs once in several thousand people - I was "lucky". :)
For 12 years the muscles greatly weakened. This led to the fact that now I can not walk, but I like to dance all the same! Dance has a special place in my life, and a love of movement is very helpful to me.
- How did you become engaged, said goodbye to the dream of a ballet?
- Creativity. It will not gone out of my life. I wrote poems, sang original songs, was an actress of the theater of gesture song "image", which we played with deaf children.
But the interesting thing started in 2000, when I became part of the UNESCO World Children's Choir. I was a pupil of the charity Foundation "World of Art", which helps musically gifted children with disabilities, and thus fell into the chorus. With this team we toured in Russia and abroad. We had concerts in the UK Rothschild estate in Italy, in the suburban residence of the Pope.
- And while you are still studying?
- Yes, I studied first at school, then in college. By education I am a psychologist, multi-specialty, that is able to work both in hospitals and any other.
But I did not want to work in the specialty after years of practice. I rehearsed practice in a specialized center for young people with disabilities, and people come to me about my age and with the same problems that I had. I could not understand why they come and whine that bad?! After all, there is always a way out, there is another life, you just need to want it. They did not want to hear this, they needed to be just regret it. Then I realized that I could not help them, and I do not want to work a psychologist.
- What do you like to do?
- In 20 years, I started to work on an altruistic basis in all the same "World of Art". Held in Penza events from this fund organizes concerts in orphanages, boarding schools. But, unfortunately, the local authorities do not really support my initiatives. I spoke openly: "Vinogradova, that you most want?". In general, I felt cramped in his hometown.
- And you decided to conquer Moscow?
- Yes!
Moscow does not believe in tears
- How did you decided on what to leave in such a big city?
- You know, lately I have many people ask about it. And I answer - stupidity. I was very young and ambitious. Firstly, I would like to find a job, and secondly, to realize the creative.
Although in reality the idea of moving, I "bore" quite a long time. I leave alone. My mother was very worried how I'm alone in a strange city. But helped work experience in event-management and my nature organizer. I can arrange anything from a concert, and here I found an apartment, took a loan to have money for the first time, started to look for a job. And gone.
- It was difficult to?
- Little. I moved and started to work on three to four jobs at home. Engaged dialing, the content for the online store, and in addition, abstracts, but I did not write, and was looking for customers and performers. Of course, many have come to learn, for example, before his arrival in Moscow, I was not working with online shops.
Parallel to this, I continued to work in the Fund (officially), engaged in the organization of events in Moscow and the Moscow region.
- And what about creativity?
- The fact of the matter is that to do concerts for children - is one thing, but to participate in them - is another. I did not do anything for themselves, their creative development, therefore, it has become to apply for various festivals and competitions ( "I love the world", "Philanthropist" and others).
It was very interesting, because the level of such events in Moscow is very different from the provincial. In the capital, they take the stars involved. With many of them I have met. And thanks to this continued her singing activities. One even sang a duet with Pascal. About me began to write, shoot subjects in general, I have noticed.
- How to you in an environment of stars failed to pick up the "star disease"?
- I do not know, I simply do not happen. Everything that happens in life, I perceive as experience. My experience. And I understand that on what step you would not have stood up at any moment can fall off it.
Beauty will save the world
- Nastya, and how did you get into fashion?
- This is also often asked. But I think that I worked in fashion since the first appearance on the stage. After all, in the spotlight need to look beautiful, you need to take care of the dress, hair, makeup. So I was always a little model.
But in fact, it all started about 3 years ago. In 2010 I took part in the international competition of clothes and accessories for people with reduced mobility «Bezgraniz Couture». So far, I am the official model of the project.
Then there were beauty contests. To be honest, I never thought himself not a beauty, but I was asked to participate, and it was very exciting. The first contest was called "Miss theater", he organized a center for medical and social rehabilitation of Moscow. I won first place. Rewarded me Benjamin Laughter, he handed me the letter, and the grand prize - a Venetian mask.
There was also a contest of "Miss Independence", where I became a finalist.
And then there was, perhaps, the most crucial to date competition - Modelle & Rotelle. This is something like the "Miss World", just for girls with disabilities. On the podium come two women: one the one that goes, the other in a wheelchair. They work in pairs, and the victory goes to both.
There was a huge number of contestants (the girl from America, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, England, Brazil ...), eventually left 53 participants, and then 25 people have reached the final. And among them three Russians - I Oksana Zaikina and Ksenia Bezuglova.
On the show hall for 800 people, was packed to capacity, not enough space, the people stood. In Europe, it is believed that women in wheelchairs are as beautiful as usual model.
- Nastya, not Tom! Won?
- Me not. But the crown still arrived in Russia. Ksenia won Bezuglova. Russian girls are the most beautiful! :)
- And what happened then?
- Then, what is now, the various fashion events - Volvo Fashion Week, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. There I draw new images. Last year I also write in my LJ reviews of shows.
School self-love
- You spoke about the attitude towards people with disabilities in Europe. And how do you feel about the very word "disabled"?
- "Give me a cow, just do not wake too early" - about how I feel about the word "invalid". Many people do not like it. And I do not take offense to it. As I do not name - "people with disabilities" or "disabled", I will continue to be a person.
Most of my life I talked with healthy people, and never thought of herself as better or worse. And around me perceive par. Due to the fact that I am in a wheelchair never had any problems. While at the same time I clearly realize that I have physical limitations. But I accept myself for who I am.
- And the men take you for who you are?
- I can not look at yourself through the eyes of men, but I have never had any problems with the opposite sex. Even on the contrary, healthy friends often saw in me competitor: as in all their merits, they are alone, and I am in a wheelchair relationship.
- You're the first girl who we interview, so I can not help but ask what love is, in your opinion, and whether there can be any restrictions in it?
- Of course not! Love can be a mother to a child, to a man - all these "different" love, but no restrictions in it can not be.
I am sorry that many girls with disabilities are not able to position itself as a women. Do not communicate with young people, thinking that can not compete with the healthy girls. These complexes are transmitted to men who are afraid to approach them. As a result, a vicious circle.
- Nastya, how do you see yourself in 5 years?
- I do not know. :) Just going to the red, but in general I'm not guessing and not plan.
- You are far from GTD?
- Awful far! We creative people can be no plan. Someone the todo-lists help in organizing and achieving the goals, but I only interfere. I have a problem - I have too much responsibility. If I keep diary, then I go crazy if something is not done.
- How do you plan without fighting with laziness?
- Nothing. :) I can arrange a "seal the day", but idleness is very quickly bored. And on days when you have to, I have spurs again an excessive sense of responsibility. So my motivation - it's my duty.
As for the plans... As long as I continue to work at the Foundation. It gives me a sense of "usefulness". I want to show by example to children with disabilities, they are full members society, they all will be able to achieve in life, you just need to have the desire and the desire to live a full life.
However, one day I would like to open a school of beauty, self-love and self-acceptance school for girls with disabilities. Girls with disabilities in our country need to understand that, in spite of the physical ailment, can not cease to take care of yourself, you can not give up the lead role in his life - the role of women.
- Finally, as a very beautiful woman, covet anything Layfhakera readers.
- Do not be afraid to try yourself. Do not be afraid of anything new. Do not be afraid of change. Use every opportunity that you are given, and if fate is scarce on gifts, find and create these opportunities themselves.
And I want to turn to the loved ones of those who are still looking for their way. If you want your loved ones have not sought no excusesSupporting them. Always and everywhere. My mother always told me: "Yes, if you like, just try." Whatever it wanted to make a friend or relative, approve his initiative and support. Let this be his experience.
- Nastya, thanks for the interview.
- Thank you for the invitation.
