Testing the antenna field

To test the speed of the antenna, I used the Speedtest.net service. For comparison, the speed picked up with a modem from the "Megaphone" and tested it with the same Simcoe 4G.

We decided to test the antenna in the field, for which it is, in fact, intended. Since I have no garden or country house, we just go on nature - in the woods not far from the city (about 12 km).

Location 1. Glade in the forest, 12 km from the city

Antenna HiTE HyBRID: 6.21 Mbit / s - part rate of 1.21 Mbit / s - outgoing speed.

Modem: It is not connected.

We collected according to the instructions included in the kit: Connect the antenna to the POE-adapter, adapter - to the laptop and turned it into the vehicle through the transmitter network.

Immediately I must say, we did not test in one place - somewhere antenna works better, somewhere worse. The original location where modem completely refused catch 4G-signal antenna issued incoming rate 6.21 Mbit / sec.

Location 2. On a hill, 12 km from the city

Antenna HiTE HyBRID: 8.62 Mbit / s - a member of the speed of 1.05 Mbit / s - outgoing speed.

Modem: It is not connected.

Next to the car catching the best, although at the expense of a long cable, we moved across the clearing, trying to catch the best signal. The most successful measure in this area - 8.62 Mbit / s (stopped on a hill).

The next place was closer to the city, where some 5 km away, in the field.

Location 3. Golf, 5 km from the city

Antenna HiTE HyBRID: 11.95 Mbit / s - a member of the speed of 0.44 Mbit / s - outgoing speed.

Modem: 0.05 Mbit / s - part rate 0.05 Mbit / s - outgoing speed.

Here I began working modem from "Megaphone". He gave figures of 0.05 Mbit / s (not to mention the fact that we could hardly wait for when he does open speed test).

With the antenna of the mobile Internet "Megaphone" has soared to 11.95 Mbit / s. In fact, they were the best indicators that have been achieved.

general impression

If you use a 3G / 4G-antenna outside the city, where the Internet is frequently falls, the indicators are very different from the same modem (which can be seen in the screenshot above).

In a forest glade, 12 km from the city, we got the rate at which it is possible to use the Internet without risking to break the computer with rage.
