How to play the game with a dandy on the iPhone without jailbreaking

Before launching ROMs old consoles was possible only on jailbroken iOS-devices, but today the situation has changed. Now, with the help of a special webn.es site, anyone can play Super Mario or Battletoads directly in Safari on your iPhone! And that is important, but a few ROMs submitted for review, you can download and run all your favorite games. About all this, but in more detail, I'll tell you in this article.

To use webNES you need to go to the site webn.esUsing mobile Safari, since desktop browsers it does not work (although most likely it can be bypassed). On webNES have a few regular games to demonstrate, but do not worry, you can download any of your games and calmly in her play. This is done in a very simple way - through Dropbox. Add up to some daddy favorite ROMs and connect your account to webNES on the home page (click + and authorizing Dropbox). Now just select the target folder from our rom and go!
I checked webNES with some of his favorite games and they were all quite playable, although there have been some twitching and logs (do not forget that it is still a web emulator). In addition to the portrait, webNES also supports landscape mode, it is activated immediately after the turn the device (in this case a virtual gamepad buttons are translucent so as not to overlap picture). In landscape mode, play a little awkward, as though the buttons are transparent, but still a little close review. Personally, I prefer to run games on emulators (such as soft-and hardvarnogo) in native resolution without scaling and blurring the image, and therefore in webNES play in portrait mode.
By the way, if you run your favorite game and did not hear the sound, do not think that webNES does not support emulation of sound - simply through the speaker on the iPhone it for some reason does not play. Therefore, if you want to play with zvkom -use headphones. As in the case of video, the sound will temporarily slow down well, but this is to be expected, since the emulation on the 100% rate is currently unavailable.
Apparently, webNES should work not only in Safari on iOS, but also in other mobile browsers. Android devices at hand was not, so that I myself was not able to test - if you try to accomplish your goal in the comments as a result. But the most pleasant thing in webNES - is that it works only in a browser. That is, you do not have to download any applications from the App Store or to jailbreak to install any tweak.

Yes, call webNES perfect emulator while it is impossible, but you must admit it's definitely a step forward. If the project is to develop, it is possible that in the future it will be possible to comfortably play games from NES, and maybe even GBA and SEGA. What do you think about this, dear readers? Pretty cool stuff, is not it?
