Today we look undeservedly forgotten application for weather monitoring called BeWeather for Android. The developer of this application is very popular among BlackBerry users, and their first experience on the Android platform leaves a rather pleasant experience.
After installing BeWeather we are prompted to download another 25 megabytes of data, mainly graphics. Fortunately, all this is immediately placed on the memory card. Because these applications are interesting and weather are benefits exclusively in the presence of functional widgets, we decided to start testing immediately with them. It is worth noting that the most beautiful pieces, like different backgrounds and icons are only available in the paid version applications, but also a free version implements the basic functionality and allows you to create a minimalistic informative widget. So by default we have 6 widget options with columns / rows ratio of 1x1 up to 4x3. One of the most tidy we appeared 4x1 widget displaying only the current weather and 100% transparency, and it is shown in the screenshot.
Widget Settings allow you to change almost everything from the choice of location and ending with small cosmetic details. A very interesting feature here is to launch the selected application by the user at the touch of the display area at the time the widget.
When touched, the temperature display area runs the application itself. On the main screen shows detailed information about the weather in your selected locations.
If you touch this screen, you will see additional menu features display the forecast for a week, hourly forecast, as well as the time of sunrise and sunset and the moon.
In application settings you can specify the unit of temperature, wind speed and several other parameters.
minimalist lovers really like the opportunity to opt out of the widget by placing data on the temperature in the system tray.
