Assistant detects dozens of commands that are useful in everyday life. But what if an intelligent assistant does not work on your device?
Check if your assistant is launched
To use Google Assistant, just download the Google Search app and install the English, German or French language on your device. If you have everything there, try to press and hold the "Home" to unlock the video, or use the voice command, "OK, Google". On your screen you should see a message «Hi, how can I help?». This means that Google Assistant runs.
If instead of a dialogue with the assistant window appears with the search engine or function Now on TopThen you should include your own Google Assistant. To do this, go to the Google Settings app. In the Settings menu, select Phone item. There including Google Assistant function and Access with Voice Match. Do not forget to change the system language to English: Russian is not yet supported.

Some devices do not support Google Assistant without a stand-alone application. If Google does not show the settings of voice assistant feature, install it via Google Play.

Disconnect Bixby or S Voice
On Samsung devices have their own built-in voice assistant Bixby and S Voice, which may deny access to Google Assistant. If you do not want to use them, they should be disabled.
To disable Bixby, go to "Settings" and select Bixby key. Click on the Do not open anything. Try running Google Assistant.
If this does not help, disconnect the S Voice. Double-click on the button "Home" and then go to the "Settings" menu. Disable "Open via Home button". After that S Voice does not interfere with the use of Google voice assistant.
Reinstall the Google app
If the above methods did not help you, try to reinstall the official Google app on your device, or perform one of these actions:
- Clear your cache and do a factory data reset using the Google app.
