Android-smartphone can now be used as a key for secure login to a Google Account

Any smartphone on the basis of Android 7.0 and above can now be used as a physical key for two-factor authentication. This is one of the most secure ways to log in to your Google account.
To use the new input method, you will need a computer with a Bluetooth-based Chrome OS, macOS or Windows 10. While the method only works in the Chrome browser, and only on Google.
You will need to do the following:
- Go to page Google two-factor authentication.
- Press "Add an electronic key."
- Select your smartphone list.
When you log in to your computer and the phone must be switched on Bluetooth. On a mobile device, a notification appears on the screen, through which will need to confirm the authorization. On Google Pixel 3 it uses the Volume Down button.
