N1 - new e-mail client for Windows, OS X and Linux, which offers a simple interface, support for popular email-services and almost limitless possibilities thanks to the open source code and extensibility via plug-ins.
The first thing that excites user - mail services support. N1 is already working with Gmail, Microsoft Exchange, iCloud, Outlook, Yahoo and custom IMAP / SMTP-servers. I had no problems adding personal and corporate boxes from Google, all the letters and mark booted.
N1 minimalistic interface. There are two kinds of display: List View and Split View. In the first case, you see a list of folders and emails, in the second - and even the contents of the open letter. Standard light theme can be changed to the dark.
Despite the fact that the client is in beta testing, it works quickly and correctly: All letters loaded, notifications come from Google tags, like I said above, it is also loaded.
Main feature N1 - it is open source and extensible through plugins, which was conceived creators, should begin to fall in abundance after the public version of the application. Already, we can estimate the first expansion. For example, the program prompts you to install the translator based API Yandex Translate. We wrote a letter to the Russian and then translated it into English. Conveniently.
While N1 crude, but very ambitious project. He did not force me to leave the AirMailBut I left a good impression. Should wait, when there will be a public version of the client and plugins for developers - and then it will be possible to truly evaluate a program.
But if you want to try N1 now, ask invite. However, it will have to wait a long time. For example, I got it only after three weeks.
