For several years now I do not use antivirus software. It is a conscious step to which I went, after analyzing the pros and cons. Anti akin to a surgeon, Courtyard surrounds already operates in those cases, if the rest of the medicine is powerless. I prefer not to cut each time the insides to make sure everything was in order in the body; enough prevention and physical education, to be in shape. As a preventive Microsoft recently released a set of security tools, one of which - Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.
Tool, code-named Windows-KB890830-V1.39 - narrow action aimed at the identification and elimination of Trojans and other similar evil. Site C can be picked up the March update.
When you start the program will ask you what kind of test to select fast (that considers it necessary to check), full (check all without exception), or custom (you tell yourself folder). I chose the quick view, the program checks the data for 10 minutes, after which the verdict was.
Though the program and seemed reliable and fast, it is fair to warn that it is not Antivirus and add-advised to get for greater security. The utility can be found in Microsoft Update, but you can download directly, without checking for validity. By the way, Microsoft has been actively developing on-line analog of the utility -
Windows Live OneCare safety scanner (Analogue which in turn is partially implemented in Windows Vista, in the form of Windows Defender). Moreover, research in this area Microsoft has allocated in a separate project, a kind of hybrid laptop comprehensive protection across the board, called Windows Live OneCare. I'm so far limited for today Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.
