5 lessons of life from Mahatma Gandhi

Our future depends on what we do now. Mahatma Gandhi
Mohandas Gandhi - one of the greatest political and ideological leaders. In 1915, the famous Indian writer Rabindranath Tagore first used in relation to Mohandas Gandhi title "Mahatma" - great soul. However, Gandhi himself never accepted it, believing himself unworthy.
But in fact, he has done a lot for his nation and its independence from England. And in the struggle for the independence of India, Gandhi used the methods of non-violent resistance - the boycott of British goods and institutions, as well as violation of certain laws. Gandhi also actively fought with caste inequality and tried to improve the lives of "untouchable" as much as possible.
Despite the fact that Gandhi held a fairly high position in society, he lived very modestly, wearing a robe of the monk and practiced vegetarianism and fruitarianism.
This man has changed not only himself, but also the world around him, without violence and cruelty. I think we are now very much would have prevented the lessons of wisdom from such a man. And then, perhaps, we shall be changed first, and then our society. But we must begin with ourselves.
1. me
You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
Again, we must begin with ourselves. If we want change, we must be an example. If you succeed, people will reach for you. Anyone can be accused of the failures of the government, society and God. Anyone can complain, but only a few are able to see a problem in itself and begin to change.
2. Ask the right questions
The strength of the matter is that it is at the core of human progress.
Ask the right questions of the right people. The quality of life is directly dependent on the quality of questions asked. You can not get the right answers, no questions asked. You can not make progress without the inquisitive and lively mind.
3. always act
There is a momentum for action - let's see what happens today. You can split one big plan into small steps and take the first step right now.
It is more philosophical version of the familiar "Do not put off till tomorrow what you can do today." No tomorrow and yesterday - it is already the past. We live in the present. Hence the need to act in the "here and now". In addition, we can never be sure at 100% that all comes tomorrow.
"Our future depends on what we do now."
4. Farewell
The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is a strong feature.
That a man quick to forgive, does not mean weakness. On the contrary, it is a sign of his spiritual power. Only the weak can not forgive and hold a grudge, anger or envy, which attack it from the inside, making it even weaker.
5. Keep track of your beliefs
Your beliefs become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions become your habits. Your habits become your values. Your values become your destiny.
What do you think about? What you believe? How do you see yourself and your future? Do you believe in their potential? Every time you doubt remember this saying. After all, you - this is what you believe. Watch your thoughts, believe in your success, and you definitely will succeed - even if it is not the first time, and on the tenth;)
