The book is about the biography of Steve Jobs has long been a best seller among all his fans (and they are many). English-speaking readers were more fortunate, because to read the book in Russian, we can only from the 15th of November, while the rest of the world reads it in English since the 24th of October.
We assume this is a small spoiler to the book for those who have not yet had time to read it in English. Founder and editor of ReadWriteWeb, Richad McManus wrote a short article about his impressions of the book and the three main pillars of Steve Jobs.

Unfortunately, the actions of virtually unique geniuses, and think in the same way as they are, it is impossible. We can only listen, read and learn. I think this book will be useful to anyone who wants to achieve success in the development of the business, whether it is a sale of computers, or create something new. During the life of Jobs's speech dealt citations. This man was not only able to give a new look at familiar things, to show that go beyond the usual not scary and that is just the fun it is outside these limits. He was able to bring it to the masses as simple as explaining it to everyone personally, in a simple and easy manner.
ingenious Wizard
One of the factors of success of Steve Jobs was his fascination with Buddhism and Zen. He also traveled extensively in his youth in India, and was fond of Eastern culture. The book explains how these passions led to its core business philosophy.
Steve Jobs completely relied on their intuition. He once said that he begins to realize that intuitive understanding and consciousness was more important than the intellectual logical analysis. Jobs also considered intuition is much more important in decision-making than the intellect. And it had a huge impact on the whole of his work.
This is clearly seen when in 2005, Jobs has thought about the product, which should be the next after the iPod. He wanted to create a device that will eat for dinner all the other phones. Digital camera market has been greatly decimated the fact that the phones were digital cameras. Exactly the same fate he feared for iPod, if phones will incorporate also a music player.
At the output of the world got iPhone.
The book also describes in detail how Zen Practice Jobs helped him develop a love of simplicity in design, for which many appreciate the products of Apple. This practice has helped him hone his ability to listen to intuition, to filter out all unnecessary and distracting, and brought up in him a feeling of aesthetic minimalism.
butterfly metamorphosis
The second main whale Steve Jobs had a fascination reinnovatsiyami. After he returned to Apple in 1997, Steve and Mike Markulla (CEO Apple 1981-1983 years) began to actively discuss the further development of the company.
At Hewlett-Packard example, which started out as a company that produces tools, calculators and then, and then to the computers, they decided that they could do something like that, and with Apple. Markulla Jobs said that he should go through like a butterfly metamorphosis - to invent more and more new things that may cause the company.
As a result, this has led to the emergence of iPod, iTunes, iPhone, and everything else that Apple has created in the 2000s.
One of the interesting facts that are described in the book was that the iPad was designed before the iPhone. While the touch screen was the greatest innovation and the development of the tablet put aside, releasing the fore phone. They believed this project more important and therefore postponed the iPad development, and the touch screen has been adapted to the iPhone size.
Focus
Intuition Steve Jobs has helped his company to regain its position in many sectors - personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablets, digital publishing and retail the shops. Apple was able to achieve all this thanks to the focus of Jobs on the main things and his strong leadership.
One of the greatest strengths of Steve was his ability to focus. "The ability to decide what not to do is as important as deciding what should be done!" - thought Jobs. This is as true for companies as well as for products.
When he returned to Apple in 1997, Jobs has decided to reduce the swollen line of computers with 40-to 4. He took a marker and drew on the blackboard a square divided into four parts. Over the upper two squares, he wrote "Consumer" and "Pro", he wrote, "Desktop" on the left side and "portable." And work on Jobs said the company was to make four ideal product for each square.
Another part of the brilliant leadership of Steve Jobs was the ability to create around himself a perfect organizational structure. As a result of which all persons responsible for decision-making, were just around the corner from Jobs. He also realized and implemented a culture of accountability in the entire company.
Steve Jobs was not a perfect man, and the head of the kindest soul. Many employees did not maintain his tyranny and left the company. He also, like everyone else, has made mistakes. But no matter what the critics say, that still does not negate the fact that he was able to do in a relatively short period of time - to turn some people's lives upside down and radically change their understanding of the world.
Around us there are so many brilliant people who are doing great things and discoveries, but it still remains hidden from us because of the fact that they just do not know how to properly present it all. Therefore, the fourth item of what should learn from Steve Jobs, I would call him the ability to speak and to present not only the new products of the company Apple, but also himself.
