How to cook lemon Granita

In one of our publications, we wrote about the recipe Italian lemon liqueur Limoncello (Limonchello). If you do prepare, you probably wondered what to do with lemons peel after cutting. This question is best answered by the Italians themselves - they cook Granita.
Granita (Granita) - is popular in the south of Italy cold dessert that is especially nice to eat in the heat. To prepare it, we need the following products:
- Lemons for 200... 250 gr. juice
- Water - 400 mL
- Sugar - 300 g
First you need to cook the syrup. To this is poured into the pot water, pour it in the sugar and stir over low heat until it dissolves.
Then remove pan from heat, cover with a lid and wait until the syrup has cooled to room temperature. Now you can proceed to obtain the juice. To do this, take the lemons (mine left over from the preparation of limoncello, lain in the refrigerator for several days).
Now take the citrus juicer food processor or with a corresponding nozzle and davim required amount of juice.
Ready juice poured into a pan with syrup, mix well and then pour into the vessel (s) of appropriate size to fit in the freezer of the refrigerator.
Depending on the capacity of your freezer, 30-60 minutes. Granite gradually begins to freeze, so at intervals of 30-40 minutes should be periodically stir dessert, not to he did not get one single piece.
When the dessert completely freeze, it is ready for use. Usually served in glasses that you can decorate an umbrella with a straw, and for the home environment is enough dessert spoon.
