DIY antenna to enhance the Wi-Fi signal in just a couple of hours

For example, a craftsman from Italy Laritstsa Danilo (Danilo Larizza) recently shared in his blog story, how he was able to save money on buying an amplifier wi-fi signal and to make the 2.4 GHz antenna that raises the data path between two points is a considerable distance.

Need: copper wire (or steel wire), aluminum foil, plastic container for storing food, and a soldering iron.

Wire 2 must make a square with sides of 31 mm, as shown below.

To one corner of the resulting structure, attach the copper conductor of the coaxial cable to another -Metallic braid.

The device must be protected from the weather. To do this, put it in a light sealed plastic container with a lid.

According to the author, the life of such an antenna is at least 6 months. To further enhance the power of the signal and its direction, you can add a reflective screen. They can serve as an ordinary aluminum foil.

According to the author, this makeshift stable antenna transmits data on the distance of about 400 meters at a speed of up to 250 kbit / s. At shorter distances, the speed is much higher, up to 5.5 Mbit / s.
