April releases that are worth listening fully
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Fishing for Fishies
Australian band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard has not issued releases more than a year that her case is nonsense: one 2017 th at the band came out five full-length albums, and you can listen to all (!). Their previous work remembered for compositional experiments. For example, devyatitrekovy Nonagon Infinity was a closed loop, where each song is flowed to the next, and the last - in the first. A track Rattlesnake Flying Microtonal Banana with patient experienced listener eight-chosom on one chord, a single endless refrain.
At this time, the band once again hit the experiments and tried to record a blues album, but in the process gave herself to the mood and let the tracks "have their own personality." It turned out, of course, not quite bluesy, despite a lot of references to the genre boogie even in the titles. And still get a relatively normal, for which King Gizzard chided
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Fishing for Fishies music publication Pitchfork, called Fishing for Fishies first boring album. But do not listen to the reviewers Pitchfork is useful, and call release hopelessly dull still does not work. Fishing for Fishies - light indie-rock, in which there is a place like mischief and bygone psychedelic echoes of the old King Gizzard, and experiments with rhythmic boogie-woogie.
Conclusions of regression and fatigue do not do: in April the Australians came out single Planet B. They again tried on the new style - and this is some kind of metal. It sounds not superubeditelno, but it raises a smile and confidence that King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard in 2019 everything goes according to plan.

The Cranberries - In The End
any album The Cranberries automatically lay claim to the title of the release of sad month, but this time it's really bad. Vocalist Dolores O'Riordan, whose voice is familiar to everyone at least for Zombie track, died in January last year. She managed to record all the vocals for In The End - at the time of her death, the album was at the information stage.
The band members have been approved for release by the release of Dolores family and sat down to rework material. The album turned out to be good. In The End sounds like any other release of The Cranberries - it's the same recognizable melodic pop-rock, in which tracks the emotional side by side with light and melodic, and sometimes quite boring lyric ballads. And yes, half the music does a voice here.
Write anything bad about the album would not be desirable. Those who never dig further Zombie and Promises, he seems Globe. And we are not indifferent to the creation of the group, he will cause a lump in his throat and a desire paused.

"Uvula" - "We can only wait"
Layfhaker I wrote about "Uvule" over a year ago. Then we talked about the band's second album, "I thought, I can do it", but the main feature of the collective called the presence of the mix saxophone parties. In 2018 "Uvula" held a summer festival, played enough on the sites of the two capitals, has gained the maximum for the alternative band lost popularity and saxophone. But it was only better.
"We can only wait" - a half-hour to the best of lively dream-pop with one of the most beautiful vocals on Russian alternative scene. It would seem that nothing radically new here and all that plays "Uvula" already invented what some signatories label Captured Tracks. But, first, lo-fi aesthetics conditional Brooklyn guitar bands just perfectly with lyrics in Russian. And secondly, do it right and not lose face very few people get. The "Uvuly" happened.
Playlist: "Shingle", "Trust me", "Secret", "Reflection".

"Hadn Dudney" - "Lyaoakyn"
The word "lyaoakyn" - a conventional genre within which there is creativity Moscow trio "Hadn Dudney." We have already given the historical background of the group, wrote about her music and waited for her album - and here it finally came out.
Musically "Lyaoakyn" was more emotional and danceable than the previous release of the collective - "Secret Album". Sometimes there is nothing joyful, but the mood of the composition is left bright. Sounds "Lyaoakyn" as another very Russian art-pop (something very Russian DC output: in March we wrote, for example, about the album "willow"). But the art-pop in another interesting. You can hear the influence of eastern ethnics, mild flirting with sound witch house, bright voice and catchy party singer Barbara Kraminov and mischievous, sometimes a little strange texts.
Texts deserve special attention. The album opens with the song "Kiwi-wallet" on the most romantic search for bookmarks, and later Barbara playfully sings about Ryazan Gopnik track "Ryazan". A little further the listener is waiting for the lyric "Dedication neighbor Philip," which begins with one of the most simple and devastatingly sad quatrains of love in modern Russian music.
And yes, if you like music "Hadn Dudney", try to listen "Constellation Cut" - there is also singing Varvara.
Playlist: "Kiwi-wallet", "Dedication neighbor Philip", "Gold Card Reeve Gosh", "Misha".
