How to change the location of the standard user folders in Windows

The default operating system Windows provides users with a special folder to store their data, such as Documents, Music, Videos, Pictures and so on. Most of the programs set up to preserve user data is in these directories. By default, these folders are located on drive C: section users. However, if your operating system is thought so, and the only way to treat it will be a complete reinstall with formatting the disk, all your data is permanently lost. Therefore, I want to recall, especially for novice users a simple way to avoid these troubles.
So, you must first take care of transferring them to another disk for safe storage of your data even in the event of a failure of the Windows. Best of all, if your computer has two physical disks installed, but another section of the same disk is also nice.
The first thing you need to open your home folder, which is located at
C: \ Users \ UserName
Then select the folder you want to move, click on the right mouse button and choose from the context menu properties. In the window that appears, go to the tab location.
Here we see three buttons, we are interested in the average - move. After pressing the folder selection window appears in which we need to specify the new location of the default directory. We can only confirm your selection by pressing the OK, and then allow the transfer of files to the new location in the pop-up dialog box.
This simple adjustment applied to all the folder of your choice with your data can save an enormous amount of nerves and time in case of sudden failure of Windows. You just reinstall the system, and then again specify the path to your folders with the data to another drive, and get back all your fotochki, movies, music, documents, and even your desktop. I recommend that you do this simple maneuver immediately after installation.
