In his speech on TEDxMaastricht physician, scientist and inventor Daniel Kraft talks about what a bright future waits for medicine and, respectively, of patients, that is us. It is necessary to measure blood pressure or blood sugar levels? Constantly monitor the temperature of the body of the child or make a roentgen their smartphone? Easily! For all this, there is an application. ;)
To be honest, for me the worst thing in the presence of an infant was not something that had to constantly monitor your diet, wake up at night and do a lot more strange things. Greatest fear - the inability of a child to an adult understanding what was wrong with him. When the chest son started crying incessantly, and he turns up the heat, with the call ambulance I started terrible panic. Having read the medical horror stories on the Internet and heard plenty of horror stories from other mums on the street, I was worried that he might suddenly suffocate in their sleep, swallow something that he will rise high fever, and I do not know about it, and a lot of other horror (thank God that I now it's not I remember).
It was almost eight years ago, and during that time a lot has changed. Now there is a specialized mobile applications and gadgets that allow you to measure the temperature at a distance, the level of sugar in the blood pressure, heart rate and even can do X-rays. All results can be saved or sent to your doctor who will be able to put a presumptive diagnosis, or at least to the first recommendation, if the case is urgent. On this and many other things at a conference TED tells Daniel Kraft - a doctor, a scientist and inventor.
