Turning off Auto-rotate screen in Windows 8

Often there are situations when the user is preferable to disable automatic screen rotation on a tablet (just remember the joke about was sent in the form of an inverted image). The same applies to the happy owners of tablets on Windows 8. Given the fact that the presence of options off the Auto Rotate is not constant from plate to plate, we present several ways to disable, including the universal through the registry.
Charms Bar
When opening Charms Bar (Win + I) you can see the screen brightness control, which is also present lock button autorotation.
The problem is that in some cases, this button is not on the controller. If you have such a case, then we go further.
Using the keyboard,
If you connect the keyboard to the tablet, then turn off the auto-rotation even simpler: click on the keyboard Win + O all. Unfortunately, this method just is not universal, because not work on all tablets.
Adjust screen
Also, auto-rotation of the display can be turned off in the settings screen.

universal way
This method will work on any tablet. Turning off auto-rotation through the Windows registry. Run application "RunĀ» (Win + R) and enter there a familiar and favorite regedit.
Go along this path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ AutoRotation
On the right side you will see the option to Enable name. Call the context menu on this parameter and select Modify.
We are looking for Value data field and change its value to "0". Click OK, and rejoice.
