Experimental Tracking Protection, being tested currently in Firefox, allows you to lock tracking your activities on the Web through a third-party content embedded in the page. This not only increases the safety of surfing, but also can significantly increase its speed.
The company Mozilla has always paid great attention to confidentiality and security of the Firefox browser users. Suffice it to recall, as an example, that the function Do Not Track ( «Non-Follow-me"), which has now become standard in all modern browsers, it first appeared in Firefox.
However, this function simply tells the Web sites that you do not want to have your behavior tracked, and companies are not required to comply with it. Now, Mozilla developed a more active and effective protection method that does not depend on the discretion of developers sites and fully returns control in your hands. He called Tracking Protection ( «Protection tracking") and is a fully qualified domain blocking and sites, which are known to monitor users. An additional bonus that users receive, activate this feature, it is to significantly accelerate download many pages (up to 44% of the site post
Zdnet.com).Currently Tracking Protection is enabled by default in the browser test builds during the transition to the private browsing mode. In a typical version of Firefox it is also possible to activate this function, but will have to make a few additional steps.
1. Enter into your browser about: config and press "Enter."
2. Read the warning and click "I promise I'll be careful!".
3. On the page with service settings, type in the search box privacy.trackingprotection.enabled.
4. Double-click the line privacy.trackingprotection.enabledTo toggle the status of the settings on the true.
Now you can close the settings page, and continue normal operation in the browser. On all pages, opened from now on, will be blocked by identifying your content. Ensure that you can, looking at the Firefox address line, where you will see a new icon in the shape of a shield. Clicking on this icon will cause a pop-up window with more information. You can also turn off Tracking Protection for those sites whose work was disrupted as a result of using this function.
In general, the new lock function keeps track of the content is quite useful, especially for those who, for whatever does not use ad-blocking reasons. We hope that very soon Tracking Protection will become the default settings of Firefox, and eventually all other browsers.
