The situation with proceedings before the Court involving Apple and Motorola got its development. Now the company from Cupertino has accused Xoom tablet manufacturer of copyright infringement on the design of tablets.
The situation is reminiscent of last year's event, when a defendant before Apple accusing Samsung has acted. Then the latter was charged with copying Apple's design to create a Galaxy Tab. Sale of the tablet even temporarily banned in the European Union except the Netherlands. This time, Motorola is charged with the same step with the theft of iPad patented design for the production of Xoom. Although it is unclear whether this would entail for a ban on sale in Europe this product.
By the way, at the time of the ban on distribution in Europe Samsung Galaxy Tab under the hot hand hit Apple and the German manufacturer of JAY-tech, to create their own version of a multimedia tablet. Now this company is no longer offers anything like it once it had established a model of this kind of gadget.
It is obvious that Apple jealously guards the design of their products from being copied. Confrontation, Apple and Motorola will be a year in October. Moreover, the first in 2010 in a lawsuit against Apple filed is Motorola, accusing the "apple" producer of violating 18 patents. The answer was Apple lawsuit accusing Motorola to use the patented technology in the multi-tasking Motorola Droid. Now it turns and tablets, and it is unclear what will end the struggle between two manufacturers in the patent field.
