Three aliens arrive on Earth, believing that they will immediately attract everyone's attention. But in fact, no one notices them, because the guests came to celebrate the New Year, and there are many people around, whose costumes are even more interesting than alien spacesuits. Looking at everyone's fun, the heroes learn emotions that they did not know before.
The music for this film was written by the famous David Tukhmanov. In addition, the popular Soviet VIA "Pesnyary" and "Romen" appear along the way.

But it is also interesting that the young Cindy Lou, who helps the villain to get into the spirit of the holiday, was played by Taylor Momsen - the future vocalist of the rock band The Pretty Reckless.

In a kind children's fairy tale, many songs of the composer Gennady Gladkov sound (not to be confused with the author "Plasticine crow"Grigory Gladkov). And they are performed by such movie and pop stars as Mikhail Boyarsky, Georgy Shtil and Valentina Kosobutskaya.
7. Sorcerers

A simple guy Ivan falls in love with the charming witch Alena, who works at NUINU (Scientific Universal Institute of Extraordinary Services). They are already planning a wedding, but the deputy director Apollo Sataneev looks at the girl. Meanwhile, the institute is developing a real magic wand. For the first time, her powers should be demonstrated to the audience right on New Year's Eve.
The Strugatsky brothers wrote the script for this film based on their book Monday Starts Saturday. True, the satire of the original here has largely been replaced by a fabulous New Year's atmosphere. But the picture presented the audience with such compositions as "Three White Horses" and "Song of the Snowflake".

Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol has been screened numerous times. But in 1970, director Ronald Nimes decided to turn the famous story into a musical. The combination turned out to be unusual, but very striking. Scrooge got four nominations for an Oscar, including Best Song and Best Music.

Debut work Eldara Ryazanova quickly became one of the most popular New Year films in the USSR. It's all about a successful combination of social satire, humor and funny musical numbers. It was here that one of the main holiday hits of all time, "A Song of Five Minutes", sounded.

Filmed in 1944, the film with the gorgeous Judy Garland paints a bright nostalgic picture of the USA at the beginning of the century. Thus, the authors tried to distract viewers from the dark events of the real world. But in the end, the picture "Meet me in St. Louis" and for many years to come remained the standard of the festive musical.

After World War II, former co-workers Bob and Phil decide to form a musical duo. They quickly gain popularity, and then meet the singing sisters and create a quartet. Touring, the heroes decide to help their former commander.
The main role in the film was played by the famous Bing Crosby. But it is interesting that the song White Christmas, which gave the name to the picture, he performed in his previous work "Holiday Hotel" and even received for the composition "Oscar». In "Merry Christmas" it sounded even more organic, as it reflected the very essence of the plot.
2. A Muppet Christmas Tale

The Wizard of Oz and The Frog King have similar versions from the studio of Jim Henson. Each time the authors try to preserve the original plot, but add their trademark humor and songs to it.
