Different ways of navigation have already come in the usual usage. A variety of applications, there are navigators and mobile devices. But for motorists, and even when the network is available. But for basic navigation you may well help a normal compass, which, incidentally, comes bundled with your iPhone.
The first time the application is launched, it will ask you to do the calibration. On iOS 7, this method has changed a bit in contrast to the previous versions. If earlier it was necessary to plot a figure eight in the air, it is now simply tilt the smartphone until you draw a circle, which will be shown on the display.
After calibration is completed, the application will show you the magnetic north, but if you want you can switch to true north, going to Settings - Compass - Apply true north. The app determines your location using GPS and displays them on the screen below the compass, which outlines broad areas: North, South, East and West.
If you know the exact direction where you want to move (for example, 30 ° to the east), then turn the phone to this division, you can start your journey. For added convenience, the direction can be fixed tapnuv once on the screen. Thus, if you deviate from the prescribed route, you will be able to clearly see on how many degrees. This will tell the red arc, increase or decrease depending on how much you have deviated.
If a compass you will not have enough to determine your location, you can always check with the card. Clicking on a line with the current coordinates, you will transfer to the Maps application, which will open at the very coordinates. So, guided by the compass and the terrain, you will be able to better represent the current destination.
Nevertheless, the standard compass in iOS 7 can only be used for some basic navigation, so it is not without drawbacks. Its accuracy can depend on various factors such as the magnetic field environment or even the magnets in your headphones. But if there is nothing else at hand, the standard compass in iOS - still a good solution, it is better than nothing.
