Cobook - Social Address Book for Mac

Address Book in Mac OS X is not bad, but due attention from Apple it is, in my opinion, does not receive. In recent years, visible improvements have been made a little bit. except that the updated interface (than have incurred a lot of criticism, by the way). It gives third-party developers a chance to shine. So did the Riga developers, releasing Cobook.
CoBook - a social address book. Immediately after installation, you will be prompted to specify the data to access Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. This will allow to import contacts from social networks. Since Twitter I strictly for entertainment (ie, not everyone on whom I signed, must be contact address book), I did not add it. But the Facebook and LinkedIn to connect. CoBook joined these social services, and download additional contact information that was not available in the standard address book. It works like magic - the recipients have pictures, information about the day of birth, information about entertainment (thank you, Facebook!), Etc.
The most interesting Cobook that the program automatically keeps data up to date. And it's really cool. Imagine that one of the many acquaintances changed phone number. Not the fact that he will notify all your contacts from your address book, but on LinkedIn and Facebook will update almost certain. Therefore, you will always be reliable and relevant address data.
I liked the interface and Cobook. Program after the installation is located in the menu bar. By clicking on the program icon, you can start a search for a contact. Arrows select the right person, press Enter, to open his profile. From here you can quickly get a phone number (if there is Google Voice you can and call), make the email-message (opens the mail client window) or edit the contact information.
CoBook supports a variety of input data formats. You can enter an address, as shown in the screenshot, and the program will automatically fill in the appropriate fields.
Address book - it's pretty sensitive data. Scandal with PathThat without the permission of a list of contacts downloaded to their server, we all remember. Cobook developers argue that the data is stored locally (on the user's machine) and not loaded on their server.

The program is still in beta stage, various errors. If you decide to try the app in a case sure to make a backup copy of the Address Book. Price CoBook final version has not been announced.
