How to change the path to save screenshots in macOS

Unfortunately, through standard setting to change the path to the folder to save the screen capture is not possible. So, it's time to use the Terminal.
So, if you want to change the place where the screenshots are saved, enter the following command in the Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.screencapture location ~ / pictures / screenshots
With this command, we change the directory in which the images will be stored. In this case it will be a folder "screenshots", located in the "Images" folder. If you want to save the picture in another location, you can choose another way. The easiest way to do this is by simply dragging the desired folder in the Terminal window - this action will automatically generate the necessary path to that folder.
Of course, in addition to changing the way you can do, and something else. For example, to change the format in which to store your images. The default image format is png-picture, but with the following command, we change the extension to jpg:
defaults write com.apple.screencapture type -string jpg
Now, all your pictures will be saved in jpg-format. Of course, if you want some other, instead of "jpg" can use the pdf, gif, tiff and png.
To settings have been applied, you must restart SystemUIServer process with the following command:
killall SystemUIServer
That's all. Depending on which way you mount it, and on what file format change, your screenshots will be stored there.
