AddressBookSync - sync contacts with Facebook

If you have a large number of friends in Facebook, then use a small free program AddressBookSync you can download pictures of contacts and their birthdays in the Mac Address Book. This is especially useful when available iPhone, because after synchronization friends pictures will be displayed on the screen when they call.

Immediately it should be noted that the telephone numbers and e-mail will not be synchronized from Facebook, because the rules do not allow the latter to do so.

After starting the program, enter your username and password Facebook, then the program will pull all contacts, and the name and surname will determine which of them coincide with those that are already in your address book.

Choose those contacts that you want to synchronize and click Sync to Address Book.

It is also possible to add Facebook friends to your address book if they are not already there. To do this, go to the Unmatched tab and choose the ones we want to add.

And now the most important thing for the Russian-speaking users. As you know, most people on Facebook is filled with your profile in English (eg, Vasya Pupkin), while as in the address book of the average user in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus are the most likely written in Russian (Bob Doe). In this case it will be a bit more difficult, but there is a solution. Again we go to the Unmatched tab, select the contact Vasya Pupkin, double click on it opens the address book, looking Vasya Pupkin and click Save Match. Now our Vasya Vasya and united.
