"Apple has" those who ", while Jobs was not like this!" - most likely say the skeptics, read the title name. After all, the perfect product can not be flawed. Of course, this has its own truth, but there is nothing perfect in the world.
Some of the people are faced with the "hang" of the window "Open / Save" in the different programs while working on a Mac. But this problem can be solved.
This annoying bug pursues only those users who are already automatically connected network drives (just like me) when running OS X. Sometimes, when working with a variety of software and using its dialog box "Open" or "Save" application hangs seconds from 3 to 15 and absolutely without any cause, and we are seeing the standard "whirling lollipop".
The problem, of course, not critical, but annoying. Well, must be addressed. And there is a solution. Just keep in mind that this is still a kind of "crutches", and sometimes it is better to wait for system updates than headlong to write something funny in the terminal. Read to the end before you do something. Optionally, the method will not satisfy you and you decide to leave it at that.
So, the problem is defined: the application freezes if the system has automatically mounted drives. Therefore, the solution could be to disable this function.
We use the terminal and text editor to disable unnecessary features.
Launch Terminal and type the following command to confirm the password:sudo nano / etc / auto_master
This opens the text editor. There, we are interested in a line, in the name of which there is a "net" text. It looks something like this:/ Net -hosts -nobrowse, hidefromfinder, nosuid
We found? Fine. Now we need to comment out of her: the arrow keys to move the cursor to the beginning of the line and before the "/" (slash) put the # sign (sharp). Your line will be similar to the following:# / Net -hosts -nobrowse, hidefromfinder, nosuid
Now the changes you want to save. To do this, press the key combination Ctrl + O and a combination of Ctrl + X Close the editor. You will return to the window of the Terminal again.
It now remains only to clear the cache:
sudo automount -vc
That's all. You can close the terminal and try to work with dialog boxes. The problem should disappear.
Most likely, this will eliminate the annoying bug and then upgrade, so while you can use such a scheme. And if you have not experienced such problems, it means you do not have a mapped network drive and touch anything not necessary.
