AppleInsider has recently announced that the new iMac line will be the possibility that attract both for people, and for the semi-working with audio videos. What exactly it will be for features, not specified yet. Browser Kyle Buckley (Kyle Buckley) was list the most anticipated features. Among them were:
- matte screen;
- eSata interface;
- support for USB 3 standard;
- TV tuner;
- Intel Core 2 Quad processor;
- chipset used in the desktop, not mobile, as it is now;
- expansion slot for memory cards;
- mouse with scroll wheel more reliable;
- expensive gaming card;
- more opportunities for expansion;
- Blu-ray support.
- touchscreen;
Buckley himself most interested in quad-core processor and a mouse. What would, in his opinion, should not have to implement in the iMac, so a desktop chipset and a touch screen. Moreover, most likely, that the new iMac still will be integrated Blu-ray support, although it is not clear whether this is as much of a necessity.
The ratio of the general public and fans of technology in particular to the Blu-ray standard is quite unambiguous. The picture quality is simply stunning. However unlikely film lovers watch BR-movies on computer screens. It is hard to expect a very quick replacement of the users of its DVD-library in the Blu-ray-analogues.
That is, it is obvious that in the integration of Blu-ray is simply no need. So Apple will be able to interest consumers who are not fans of Blu-ray, retaining only the price of the same or iMac offering Blu-ray optical drive as an option.
