Dictate text, edit and format it without touching the keyboard. Google Docs service is now like a personal secretary. Back in September, Google has introduced voice input, which allows to format the text without using the keyboard, and now has expanded its capabilities.
With the help of the voice input you can:
- dictate text;
- insert lists;
- move through the text;
- edit a document (copy, paste, delete some of the text, insert links or formula);
- insert and edit tables;
- text formatting: change the font, font color, background color, font and paragraph styles, and so on.
Click the "Tools" and select "Voice input", click on the microphone icon and start to dictate text. Google Docs recognizes the excellent voice, however, have to speak loud enough. This problem is solved by connecting an external microphone. Voice input so far only works in Google Chrome. List of all the voice commands, see Google help.
One can argue, it is convenient or inconvenient - to dictate text, but it's certainly an impressive and useful update. And also dictate text a lot of fun, try it!
