I came uTorrent for Mac?

Today, on the famous tracker Demonoid was spotted distribution μTorrent for Mac. Of course, we could not pass by this event and have downloaded the program to test.

μTorrent - one of the most successful Windows-based applications. weighing less than 300 KB program exceeds the usability and functionality of almost all of its competitors. Requests to release Mac-version on the official forum appeared repeatedly.

The fact that the development is carried out, it became known a year ago. The popular and authoritative blog TorrentFreak not only laid out the screenshots, but also published an overview of the alpha version.

In August of this year the same TorrentFreak reported that the Mac-version of uTorrent will be out for A few weekss. And the program can be downloaded from the trackers.

As you can see in the screenshots, there is almost nothing in common. The Windows-version provides users with a more complete statistics, Mac version does not. Functionally, the Mac-version is significantly poorer. Judge for yourself - is not selective downloading, no labels, which are used for easy storage of files, not working torrent search the web and subscribe to RSS-feed. QuckLook button is also, apparently, only for beauty.

bugs

The program works very unstable.

• Simply crashes when you try to customize the toolbar;
• Do not remember the path to save downloaded files;
• It does not work the context menu;
• It does not show the download speed and efficiency in the dock (as is done Transmission);

download speed and impact is the same as Transmission 1.34.
